About Us
Our care homes are dedicated to nurturing, safety, and development.

Our Mission
Our mission is to provide a safe, stable and nurturing homes where every child and young person feels valued, cared for and supported. We aim to help each young person overcome challenges, build confidence and reach their full potential. Through positive relationships, shared experiences and a trauma-informed approach, we support their individual needs while providing clear routines, healthy boundaries and consistent care. By creating warm and supportive environments, we help young people develop the skills and resilience needed for a brighter future.
Our Model
Our Trauma Recovery Model (TRM) guides how we understand and support young people who have experienced difficult life events. It combines knowledge from child development, attachment theory and neuroscience with practical, relationship-based care.
This approach helps our team understand the needs behind behaviours and respond with the right support at the right time. By prioritising trusting relationships and therapeutic interactions, we create environments where young people feel safe, understood and able to begin their journey towards recovery and resilience.

A Day in the Life – Working for Shore Care Services
Work, play, sleep repeat should be the motto of the Support Worker. Waking in the morning, I help our young people to get ready for the day. For some getting up is the challenge, others do they have their homework? and for others figuring out what I can do to keep up with their learning/work/training and appointments so I can help if they need me. Then I support them with whatever they’re doing for the daytime, transporting, staying with and bringing home if needed.
After the ‘work’ it’s time to make sure we’re all well fed and watered ready for the evening plans, sometimes we squeeze something in before dinner to keep active or make dinner together. Each week we make sure everyone has a say in their menus before we do the weekly shops.
Time for play, football in the garden, a trip to the cinema or local pool hall, a walk in the countryside, along the beach or just round the block, dance or martial arts clubs or simply time playing a board game or console or watching a film or sport on TV.
Then time to settle for sleep, often with our help to settle, as sleep isn’t easy when you’re not in your own bed or bedroom, especially at first.
All of this done whilst ensuring we record the positive experiences, challenges, changes and day-to-day life so our young people can look back and say we did the best we could for them whilst they lived with our Riverside family. We are fortunate to be able to do this as we go through the day through portable devices and electronic recording, we work as a team to make sure everything gets done.
